There was no way i was turing up to see a team who finished 2nd in a poor league, if we had won it i would of gone but not to celebrate finishin 2nd

Couldn't agree more. Second place in a poor division.

It took the biggest transfer spend of anyone else in the league, the largest wage bill and, after Keane, the the best paid manager in the division.

Yeah, aren't we great! Let's have a parade! Total embarassment!

It's a good thing we are ignored by the country's media because if this shambles had received wide national coverage we'd be more of a laughing stock then we are already.

Some of you will not agree. I really couldn't care less **thumbup

i remmember Bruce saying 'i had the chance to sign Simon Whaley from Bury for £70,000' but he said he didn't go ahead with it because we had Johnson on the right wing instead

Says it all to be honest, graft and hard work over skill and quality  :boohoo:

This message board really is unbelievable and the above statement sums it all up for me. Along with these thoughts from various posters.

Bendtner can go, skill and quality but lazy and not a grafter.

Muamba can stay, hard working and a grafter.

Johnson should go hard working and a grafter, but no skill.

Whaley we should have got, skill and quality.

Enjoy your summer folks.

I find it sad that many who didn't go are slagging off the ceremony, based on the BRMB coverage. Those that went said it was a great atmosphere. Cheer up you miseries! WE"RE PROMOTED!!!

To be honest all of the speeches were saying how disappointed they were with not winning the league and how there was a lot of work to do now to plan for the prem!!

As for the day, it was great for the kids and families, so get off your high horse! If you don’t want to go fair enough, but all that went seemed to have a good time!

To be honest your posts are just getting tedious now… I don’t mind people being negative towards the club, but a bit of constructive criticism wouldn’t go a miss, all you do is moan!!

Take a look at Chelsea… all the money in the world doesn’t guarantee you titles and trophies… for us it was all about getting in to the prem, and like I said last year, I’d take that any way it comes… I’d much rather be in our position than that of the play off teams now that’s for sure

You had to laugh at Jonty's reception.

He was just his usual self, he shyed (sp?) away from the lime light. He didn't so much as refuse an interview as he had already gone back inside when Tom Ross was looking for people to speak to. He got a reasonably good reception from the fans imo, there were lots of people around me shouting for him, when Tom Ross asked if he was around to speak to.

If he had hidden from the fans you can't exactly blame him anyway, if you had been booed and jeered all season you would probably question whether you wanted to go out and face said fans and thank them for their support...
